We Invite You to Join In
Thanks for considering joining in and making a difference in the lives of Children whose parents are incarcerated in the California Jails and Prison system.
At Camp Agape California We firmly we believe that we can make a difference in the lives of these children by simply saying yes to the invitation to join in and saying NO to any more of our children falling through the cracks of our penal system. If you are a caregiver or guardian of a child whose parents are absent from their lives due to incarceration you can sign them up for our kid’s camp for Memorial day weekend 2018 by clicking on this Angel camper sign up link and completing the sign-up form.
All Camp Agape California positions are on a volunteer basis.
There are many ways you can join in and be a part of the Camp Agape California missions team, a few of them are listed below:
You can become a Camp Agape California Volunteer by helping us at our fundraising events, selling tickets, serving guests, volunteering to work our booth display at large mixers, helping plan camps, set up camps and so much more. Qualifications needed are having a heart to help and serve others, having a positive attitude, have good references, attend planning meetings and events, must be punctual, pass an interview with the core leadership team, pass a fingerprint test (mandated by the state), pass a background check and have a willingness to learn in a structured environment. Mentors at Camp Agape make a huge difference in the lives of Children whose lives have been fragmented due to the incarceration of one or both parents. If you love children, like leading small groups and can lead a group to stay on task, you are able to make friends easy then being a Camp Agape California Mentor may be the place for you. Mentor Requirements are as follows: All Mentors are required to commit to the whole four-day camp. Our Mentors also are required to attend our 2-day mentor training program as well as the Camper Orientation. Mentors are also required to attend important mentor event meetings leading up to the camp which could consist of early Saturday morning gatherings, a Camper event, or pertinent Camp Agape California training meetings. Mentors are also required to communicate clearly, have several good references, must be punctual. Passing an interview and pass a fingerprint test are also requirements.
